Later next week (aiming for Thursday night before Waitangi Day), you will find your first clue on this website. You will need to be in Auckland, and you will need a car. A GPS might help, but you can also type lat/lon coordinates into Google Maps to get an exact location.

You may also find it useful to have a portable device capable of sending and receiving email, or a friend at a computer who can do this for you. If you can put it all together, the prize is definitely worth the effort: a $399 TomTom ONE GPS device.
