Stu, landscape mode is supported in software on WinMo5, but I do reckon that landscape shot was a bit tongue-in-cheek.

Tam, have you used WinMo5? I think you'll be surprised. Still, the one thing that does annoy me about Windows Mobile is the slowdowns and lockups. Something that I got extremely infrequently on Palm. But in my mind it's a small price to pay for true multitasking, effortless connectivity, and the familiar PocketPC interface.

Hi,
I wouldnt be overly concerned about the Treo 700 fighting the Palm OS. Trust me, you will be back to Palm OS very soon as Windows CE simply requires more taps for a given operation that Palm OS does....
Read my views here:
TamsPalm-why the Treo 700w will do bad
Best regards
Tam Hanna

Oh and that '240x240' comment is bullshit. The Treo650 is 320x320 in it's PalmOS incarnation so there's no reason the Windows Mobile version won't be at least that as well.

Doesn't a horizontal screen orientation seem ummm a little pointless on a keyboarded device?

PalmOne don't even bother supporting this for the Treo650 so I wonder why it's available on the 700w.
