Is this the product that makes the open source home automation community really take off? I certainly think we're going to see more products like this in the future, and the price will come down: SheevaPlug Dev Kit
I'm thinking of ordering one of these from the US (they work with NZ voltage but you'll need a NZ-to-US plug) - if anyone's interested in doing a bulk order let me know.

I use mine camping, kayaking and keep one in the car for emergencies.

This is where to look at what the cap is about and the styles available http://www.2clight.com

It is much cheaper ordering through this outfit. They often don't have all the caps listed so give them a call or email.
Tom Donaldson at http://www.neatgadgets.co.nz), Tel 09 482-3221.

I have two of these and have given half a dozen away as Presents, they have been great.

Living out in the wilds of West Auckland, our mobile reception is rubbish. I'd love to get this (or something like it) setup so my mobile would work without having to hang out a window on the second floor:AT&T UMTS Femtocell

I've been waiting for products like these for years:
PC TrickleSaver
TV TrickleSaver
They detect when your PC or TV is off (or in standby) and turn off all the peripherals. I'm guessing they will pay for themselves in the first year!

I've contacted the Australasian distributor to find out where you can buy them - I'll post more when I get it.

One of these beasts just arrived on my doorstep to review, courtesy of SolarHabit.co.nz.

The first thing you see when you pull it out of the box is a spooky glowing red LED on the handle. It's cool to see that little light, especially when there's no battery or anything connected to the bag. Gives one a feeling of independence.

Full review later.

I like the idea of having a small monitor that doesn't require an extra video card connector: Mimo Mini USB Monitor
When are they going to be available here?

I don't know about you guys, but this camera looks gorgeous.

The original Micro Four Thirds camera was the Panasonic G1, which looked a lot like an SLR - not really making use of the lack of prism in the MFT format.

This E-P1 crunches down the size, and with the 14mm pancake lens is almost pocketable.
