Stu I'm amazed by your forays into Arduining. I've still got that cheapo tank chassis that I'm yet to do anything useful with.

Turns out it's pretty much impossible to control manually, but that's ok. Now I know how to drive the DC motors via the Arduino I can write myself a printer driver and try plotting something via serial back to my PC.

In software jargon, a toaster is a self-contained software package (or "appliance") amsterdam hotels that is easily distributable by electronic means. It generally connotates free software and is a term widely used in the open source software community.

The term is a derivative of "freedom toaster." The original concept was to provide a self-contained software package that could easily be burned onto a CD-ROM and taken to a remote location for use california hotels. Now, toasters are generally downloaded from online repositories (yet can still be burned onto CD, if desired).

Toasters often comprise differing software components that were not originally packaged together. The new toaster package provides a co-ordinated packaging framework in which all the components can function together hotels in san diego as a self-contained unit ("appliance").

Yeah fancy servos that don't have endpoints basically, so they can keep on turning.

And yay Arduino!

I've been playing around with the Servo.h library. Bloody brilliant! Just tell the servo where to position itself from 0-180 degrees.

Go grab some US$4 mini servos and build yourself a robot!

Hmm yeah. I'm still almost positive that the Lego motors aren't steppers. The fact that they have a "power" setting in software as opposed to a "speed" setting is a hint.

I have a couple of printers/scanners I intend to butcher shortly so hopefully this will come in handy for trying to driver stepper motors via an Arduino.

There's a good comparison post here. Main differences are: more memory, two touch sensors instead of one, ball shooter, treads, and the colour sensor instead of just a light/dark sensor.

The original kit had a sound sensor.
