Giveaway: Philips SHB7100 Bluetooth Headset

Monday, January 12th, 2009

Thanks for your entries. This contest is now closed

I?m in a giving mood at the moment, and you guys get to be the givees.

IMG_1720_Medium For your pleasure: one Philips SHB7100 Bluetooth Headset. It?s a fairly interesting little thing ? not a dweeby in-ear headset, instead it?s a dongle (love that word) with a microphone and a regular 3.5mm headphone socket. This means you can use it with the included ? and quite adequate ? canal phones, or use your favourite headphones tether-free from your Bluetooth enabled phone or media player.

It runs Bluetooth 1.2 and supports the A2DP and AVRCP profiles, whatever that means. I do know it produced lovely clear stereo sound when tethered to a Nokia E71.

To enter, do the following:

  • Send a single email to contests@ben.geek.nz with the subject line ?Bluetooth Giveaway?. Multiple emails will be ignored.
  • In the email, answer this question: ?Name one of the Bluetooth profiles that the Philips SHB7100 supports.?

Conditions:

  • One entry per person.
  • Entries limited to New Zealand residents.
  • Entries close 21 January 2009 at 12:00pm (NZ time).
  • Winner will be contacted by email.
