Will the SqueezeBoom work with an Airport Express? I think it’s 802.11n. Thanks! I just don’t want to take the plunge b4 I know it will work.

I have a Logitech Squeezebox Boom as well as the Duet and standard Squeezebox and I love it! However I want to get a sub-woofer for the Boom and am not sure what to buy as most small units come with the full set of speakers and I have not seen sub-woofers (apart from those for home theatre systems) sold separately. can ayone advise? – Bruce

Yup it should work fine. Even though I use Squeeze Center, I can still see both of the Squeezeboxes listed on SqueezeNetwork (just showing as not connected). So I’m sure the Duet controller will be able to select between them.

I don’t know if you can buy the Duet controller separately though?

I dont have any interest in running squeeze center, but I would like to use squeezenetwork. (All I really want this for is to tie to my rhapsody account)

Question is (and from what I can tell you are the only one who can answer this for me, since very few people have both of these products) If I connect the boom to rhapsody (over squeeze network) and then buy a duet controller, can I use the duet to control the boom?

Yes the Boom has a rear socket that can be used to plug in a subwoofer OR headphones.

Selecting music is not too bad. The wheel on the front is used to scroll through any available lists, and the scrolling accelerates if you turn it quickly. Lists also wrap around. So if I want to listen to Wilco for example, I'll select “Music Library” then “Artists” then scroll backwards from A back to W with about a half-turn.

From there you can either just hit “Play” to play the entire collection from the artist, or click to drill down to individual albums.

How difficult is it to select the music you want to hear (like one CD or artist) with just the SqueezeBox Boom and its minimalistic remote?

I regret that the Duet doesn't have a (dedicated) headphones connector. The Boom does, doesn't it?
