		<description>Other way around.  I threw away the apple buds and kept the cord so I could use the inline mic, and attached my nice high-quality in-ear monitors to the cord.</description>

		<description>I too have washed mine, and they worked.  however, when I stepped on one of them, they never were the same, and eventually died.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Why cut off the cord - you like the white - or you have some spare buds around?</description>
