Well that was a fun interlude wasn’t it? So here’s Ben’s handy tips for getting your site taken offline:
- Ensure that somehow you get no notification of DNS hosting expiration
- Go on holiday to a sunny place for a week or so
- Have DNS hosting expire while away
- Arrive home on a Saturday so that DNS problem can’t be resolved for a couple of days
