OK, what the heck is up with bankers these days!? Presume for a moment that you have a bank account named Albert X. and Betty Y. Smith. With me so far? Albert takes a cheque to the bank to deposit. The cheque is made out to Betty Y. Smith. You can probably guess the rest from here, but suffice to say that the complete bankers at the bank told Albert that he wasn’t allowed to bank the cheque because it was made out to Betty.
Isn’t that the point of joint bank accounts!?
