Apparently TVNZ (New Zealand’s state broadcaster) received some complaints after interrupting a Coronation Street special on Friday night to display coverage of the drama unfolding in Beslan:

A TVNZ spokeswoman said the decision caused a flurry of calls from viewers complaining they had lost the last 10 minutes of Coronation St Secrets: Undressed.

She said some viewers complained the action had nothing to do with New Zealand and so should not cost them their normal Friday evening viewing.

Excuse my French, but get some bloody perspective people! What in gods’ name compels you to ring and complain about missing a bloody television program while people are losing their lives?
