Irony is a bitch. An occupational safety and health inspector, charged with checking construction sites for safety standards, is recovering after injuring himself when the scaffolding he was working on at his home collapsed.
The inspector was on annual leave doing maintenance on his own home from a low scaffolding plank when the accident occurred, Mr Stratford said.
“I understand that he had a fall. He received injuries in a non-work-related accident.
“Even Osh inspectors are not immune from accidents. I’ve got no doubt the inspector can still effectively go around and advise workplaces on how they might avoid accidents and falls.”
I really shouldn’t laugh. Honestly.
