Memory Card Survives Demolition

Bridge DemolitionA not-so-bright newspaper photographer chose a very bad position for his camera to remotely capture pictures of a bridge being demolished. The amazing thing is that the memory card survived the smashtastic explosion, resulting in the cool picture at right. If you click through to the article, you can see pictures from a second camera that show the first camera being torn to shreds.

Of course SanDisk have turned the whole event into a press release touting the durability of their memory cards. Good on them I reckon, and good on the cameraman who probably got a replacement camera for telling SanDisk about this extreme torture-test!
