Bimetallic Kiwi Triathlon!

Thursday, August 26th, 2004

Wahey! Good old New Zealand just took the one-two finish in the Men’s Triathlon in Athens. Hamish Carter redeemed himself fantastically after not quite making it at the Sydney games, and was followed home by Bevan Docherty.

This comes on top of Sarah Ulmer’s gold in the cycling pursuit, and the Evers-Swindell twins winning the women’s double sculls rowing. Pretty nice to say that the only events we have medalled in have all been golds! I wonder where this puts us now in medals per capita?

Go you good things!
