My Brain Hurts

Ipod RemoteOh my god. In some sort of freaky mind-bending implosion of gadget memes, Engadget has just posted a How-To describing the steps involved in turning your iPod into a universal remote. It’s not a simple process: it involves ‘recording’ the signals used by the Griffin Total Remote (a nifty device that converts audio signals to IR), then loading those as sound files onto your iPod. Still, the difficulty level just raises the hack factor into the realm of coolness.

What’s next? A Motorola Universal Navitus iPod Remote Cellphone(TM) (coffee beans sold separately).
