Freaky

Monday, July 5th, 2004

Well, I just witnessed the start of a police chase, right here in downtown Auckland.

Returning from my lunch break, I noticed an unmarked police car following an ordinary looking Honda with two young chaps in it. They eventually pulled over, and the policeman stood at his car and shouted at them to turn the car off and get out. The driver and passenger of the Honda sat for what must have been close to a minute talking to each other. I guess they must have been deciding what to do, or perhaps the driver was asking his mate if he wanted to get out, because they then sped off.

The poor cop had to jump back into his car and charge after them. Another cop car that must have been coming to help pulled a very bad u-turn, knocked over a road sign, and gave chase too. I just hope the idiots don’t run anyone over. Damn school holidays :|
